Another Standoff

'Another standoff' is my fist attempt at sketching an Australian animal. This chalk image depicts an Echidna having a faceoff with an ant. Echidnas, sometimes known as spiny anteaters, are quill-covered monotremes belonging to the family Tachyglossidae, living in Australia and New Guinea.

Here I've started by sketching in the echidna and ant. I'm gradually going to fill in the quills(spines) having started on the ant.
